Alongside creating art, Atelier de Rijk also hosts ceramic classes in which she happily invites you to her atelier and shares her creative brain with you. 

Her atelier, that she actually prefers to recall as her laboratorium, is an inspiring space that will for sure provoke your creativity. Being surrounded by experiments and artworks, there's no doubt about it that your own ideas will start to flow. 

Per class there's space for 4 students which ensures room for feedback and to accommodate your personal needs, so that you'll have the time you need to practice and create something you'll be proud of. 

During the class you'll get acquaintanced to clay and Tessa will introduce you to the basic techniques used for wheel throwing. In this 2,5 hour class you'll learn how to wedge, center and throw clay, the focus will be on making your own pot, cup or candleholder and at the end of the class you can pick your favorite glaze to customize your pottery. It's also possible to choose Tessa's renowned 'brushstroke' as a finish. Afterwards Tessa wil fire and glaze your ceramic objects as you've requested and are available for pick up at Atelier de Rijk.
