General Terms and Conditions – Atelier de Rijk
These general terms and conditions, together with the references they contain, apply to every agreement that we, Atelier de Rijk (Chamber of Commerce number: 62826948), conclude with you.

Change of conditions:
We have the right to change these general terms and conditions. You agree that the latest version will always apply to our agreement, unless a change is disadvantageous to you. In that case, the conditions in force at the time of the agreement apply.
Article 1 – Products and services
We offer the following products and services:
- Works of art and ceramics
- Ceramics courses
Article 2 – Payments
- The prices of our products and services are listed on our website.
- For larger works of art, please contact us by email or telephone to receive a quote.
- You can pay via: iDEAL, Creditcard and Paypall.
- Shipping costs are calculated separately and are at your expense.
- These are clearly indicated during the ordering process.
Article 3 – Delivery
- We deliver your order to the address you provided with your order. Theaddresscannot be changed once the package has been shipped.
- Our shipments are handled by PostNL. You will receive a track& trace code once yourpackage has been shipped.
- We do our best to deliver yourorder within4-6working days, under normalcircumstances.
- In the event of a delay,you will receive a written notification from us. If deliverydoes not take place within 30 days after confirmation of theorder, you areentitled to:
a. Refund of the full purchase amount.
b. A replacement product of equal value. - We are liable for damage or loss of your order until delivery.
Article 4 – Returns
- You have the right to return your order within 14 daysof receipt.You can do this by sending an email to info@tessaderijk.com.
- After confirming your return request, you must return the product to us within 14 days.
- We will refund the full purchase amount within5 working days after we have received the product in good condition. The costs for return shipping are at your expense.
- During the cooling-off period you must handle the product and packaging with care. Damaged or incomplete products may result in a reduction of the refund.
- Custom-made products and personal works of art are excluded from the right of withdrawal.
Article 5 – Warranty
- We offer a 6-month warranty on all our products. This warranty only applies to normal use.
- In the event of a defect within the warranty period, you are entitled to a replacement product. The defective product must be returned to us in the original packaging. The shipping costs are at your expense.
- We do not provide a guarantee for homemade ceramics during a course, given the unique and personal character of these products.
Article 6 – Liability
- We are not liable for damage caused by incorrect use of our products. An exception to this is damage caused by our intent, gross negligence or deliberate recklessness.
- In all cases, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service.
- Indirect damage (such as lost income) will not be compensated.
Article 7 – Privacy Policy
We protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can consult our privacy policy on our website.
Article 8 – Intellectual property rights All intellectual property rights (such as copyrights, logos and word marks) on our texts, photos, images and other materials are the property of Atelier de Rijk, or are used with the permission of the rights holders. It is not permitted to use these materials without our permission.
Article 9 – Complaints procedure
- Do you have a complaint? Let us know at info@tessaderijk.com. Describe your complaint as completely as possible.
- We will contact you within 4 working days and will try to handle your complaint within 14 working days at the latest.
- If we cannot reach an agreement together, you can submit the dispute to a mediator or the competent court in Amsterdam.
Article 10 – Dispute settlement
These general terms and conditions and the agreements we conclude with you are exclusively governed by Dutch law. In the event of disputes, the competent court in Amsterdam is designated.
Article 11 – Courses and cancellation policy
1. Cancellation by participant:
a. If you cancel more than 1 month before the course date: €15 cancellation fee. The remaining amount will be refunded.
b. In case of cancellation within 1 month before the course date: 50% of the course fee remains due. The remaining amount will be refunded.
c. In case of cancellation within 1 week before the course date: the full amount is due.
2. Cancellation by Atelier de Rijk:
a. If a course has to be canceled by us, we will offer an alternative date or full refund.
3. Moving a course:
a. A request for rescheduling must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the course date.
4. Courses with groups:
a. With a private booking we assume that all participants agree with the reservation. There is no money back policy for private bookings, but relocation is possible.
Article 12 – Force majeure In the event of force majeure (e.g. pandemics, natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances) we are not obliged to fulfill our obligations. A suitable solution will be sought in consultation.
